Providence is calling Associate Lean Six Sigma Black ( Operational Excellence , Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, Washington. In this position you will:
Consistently demonstrate adherence to the principles and requirements outlined in the Commitments and Compliance Integrity Program and any other organization or departmental materials related to compliance with laws, regulatory requirements.
Consistently demonstrate adherence to Medicare and Medicaid regulations which directly or indirectly relate to the performance and job expectations.
Demonstrate knowledge of PSMMC’s policy on Patients’ Rights and Responsibilities and respects these rights and responsibilities in carrying-out daily activities.
Actively participate in departmental and organization performance improvement activities in accordance with hospital and joint commission standards.
Demonstrate leadership by performing his/her work in a manner that meets or exceeds the level of care and service that PSMMC promotes to the communities we serve.
Participate in hospital and department specific practices to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
Maintain the security and confidentiality of data and information used in performance of his/her daily duties conforming to hospital policy, laws and regulations as appropriate.
Follow established policies and procedures to identify and reduce the risks of acquiring or transmitting infection.
Maintain positive working relationships and fosters a cooperative work environment.
Communicate effectively with patients, physicians and staff in a professional manner.
Provide clear, concise, pertinent reports/information.
Coache caregivers in Lean and other performance improvement methods (Six Sigma, Work-out, Change Acceleration Process).
Remain responsible for facilitating the learning of Lean and other performance improvement methods by modeling, facilitating, and co-leading projects and initiatives.
Coache Lean project/event leaders concerning metrics management, issue resolution processes, communication plan development, and methods for sustaining work.
Support the implementation of the Lean Management System.
Conduct clear and concise meetings and education/training sessions for all levels of caregivers.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Associate's Degree Accredited educational institution.
1 year experience of Lean applied application or Six Sigma (DMAIC) applied application.
Knowledge of Lean management systems and performance improvement tools and methodologies.
Knowledge of Six Sigma tools and methodology.
Knowledge of Hospital interdepartmental structures and functions.
Knowledge of Hospital work and data processes.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Business Administration or a Healthcare related field from an accredited educational institution.
Previous experience working with teams or leading projects.
Change Management and effective change exposure experience.
