Providence Health & Services Grant Officer in Walla Walla, Washington
Providence is calling a Grant Officer (Foundation Operations, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
This position will support Providence St. Mary in Walla Walla, WA and Providence St. Peter in Olympia, WA. The Grants Officer will have the ability to work from either location as their home base.
In this position you will:
Be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive program that will include government, corporate and private grant funding
Develop measurable program goals and objectives for the grants program including establishment, revision and implementation of policies, procedures and timelines for the Foundation
Establish long-term partnerships and strengthen existing relationships with the corporate and foundation sector, as well as key communities that will result in funding for the immediate and long-term goals of the organization (both private and public sector)
Research and identify major foundations for significant dollar solicitations and partners with other fundraising staff in the cultivation and solicitation of these prospects
Coordinate and manage proposal and budget development submission for all grants.
Conduct prospect research techniques, grant-oriented publications and directories, and the utilization of the Internet
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, finance or related field (or equivalent education/experience)
Six (6) years of experience in grant writing and tracking, community relations, marketing; or gift solicitation with evidence of ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively and independently organize and execute assignments.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Demonstrated experience in managing volunteers, events, gift solicitations, stewardship, grant applications/management; gift accounting/processing and donor stewardship
Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point and data base management
