Providence Health & Services Outpatient Dietitian in Walla Walla, Washington
Providence is calling a Dietitian (Food and Nutrition Services, Day Shift, 0.5 FTE) to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Conduct a nutrition assessment for patients at nutritional risk within required time frames. Obtain timely and appropriate data and analyzes/interprets data based on evidence-based standards.
Provide appropriate documentation that summarizes the nutrition care plan in the patient's medical record, including nutrition assessment, diagnosis, plan/goals, implementation, and progress toward goals.
Participate in multidisciplinary care conference and discharge planning activities as appropriate. Work closely with other disciplines including OT, PT, speech and social services to insure continuity of care.
Develop and implement an individualized plan for nutrition intervention in accordance with the patient's medical program goals and objectives, nutrition description, and self-management training. May require development of therapeutic plan for specialized nutrition support, including enteral and parenteral nutrition.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, or related area granted by U.S. regionally accredited college or university.
Completion of a didactic program in dietetics and supervised practice program approved by the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR), the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutirition & Dietetics.
Registered Dietitian by the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR)
Current Dietitian Certification with the State of Washington.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
3 years clinical/related experience and/or master's degree in related field.
Certified Specialist in related field (CLE, CDE, CNSD, CS)
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
