Providence Health & Services Process Improvement Consultant - Operational Excellence in Walla Walla, Washington
Providence is calling a Process Improvement Consultant (Operational Excellence, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, Washington. In this position you will:
A believer in and driver of Kaizen and Continuous Improvement activities that will deploy Lean methodology and quality initiatives (i.e. Six Sigma) throughout the organization.
A collaborative partner who is capable of, and willing to work with peers and leadership to foster an organization with Best in Class standard operating practices, cost measures, and reporting systems that promote a true Lean culture.
A person with a high sense of urgency and a pro-active approach to problem solving.
A self-assured individual who inspires trust and confidence and focuses on success of others through listening, sharing ideas and recognition.
An individual with advanced analytical and reasoning skills and exceptional aptitude for prioritizing.
Actively participate in departmental and organization performance improvement activities in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
Maintain the security and confidentiality of data and information used in performance of his/her daily duties conforming to hospital policy, laws and regulations as appropriate.
Provide clear, concise, pertinent reports/information.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
5 years experience in a position directly applying lean techniques and quality problem solving techniques
Experience developing and delivering educational materials in a group setting
Strong computer skills with experience in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience in a health care environment
Experience in Lean, Six-Sigma, or Quality Engineering
Understanding of both clinical and non-clinical activities and processes within a healthcare setting
