Providence Health & Services Project Coordinator - Quality Improvement in Walla Walla, Washington

Description:

Providence is calling a Project Coordinator Quality Improvement to Providence Health & Services in Walla Walla, Washington.

In this position you will:

  • Participates in and facilitates meetings/conferences related to Value Stream activities.

  • Has direct responsibility/accountability for Value Stream teams and projects. Responsible for communication of project and Value Stream status with all stakeholders; holds stakeholders accountable for their role in the project.

  • Assumes responsibility and ensures completion of all assigned Value Stream projects directed by the Value Stream steering team. Collects data, formulates results, and prepares reports, as necessary to fulfill project deadlines and requirements.

  • Assists the Value Stream teams with financial and budget responsibilities for assigned areas. Delegated duties may include; maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, gathering data, and preparing reports as needed.

  • Assumes responsibility for data abstraction, data entry, and report creation for various data sets as well as ongoing audits of key quality indicators and standards. Abstracts pertinent data from a variety of methods, observation abstraction, reports. etc. Enters data into Web-based applications and other computerized systems. Assures accurate and timely data abstraction and submission of data per internal deadlines.

  • Manages multiple databases from a variety of sources to include data input and analysis; advocates for improvement activities as a result of findings; assists in the project development and management of these improvement activities.

  • Prepares drafts and finalizes reports, agreements, memoranda, and presentations using various computer software applications.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • 3 years of progressive work experience in data support and project management.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare related field.

  • 2 years of process or quality improvement/data analysis or Lean Management

  • Health information management or coding experience.
